though many of you are dev people, but it's good to know what your web application will be running on. To design a decent solution you need to know both infra and dev 
Trust me, I always argue to my dev team, they may know the exact syntax, but I know what code will run best in that infra setup.
Next, 2 days ago, a security alert was released to public - it was about IIS logging, I posted my view over here. personally, it's not quite a big deal which stated by the author as the risk behind such request is not high, but then again, I would advise you to deploy Urlscan as you should have it anyway.

both busy and lazy.. holidays is coming. what's the plan ? I met an old friend last weekend, coming back from UK, knew him since primary school.... well, we both very hard working and yet life still errr.. not as nice as we would have expect. I'm pretty ok with it. lovely wife, nice apartment, comfortable lifestyle..... except need to get myself a new car. well, that will be next big ticket item on my wish list. So going back to the career, most my friend think I demand and/or complaint too much... for most of you here are related to dev. whereas me more on infra. and been stuck with MS tech more than 7yrs... future ? if you ask me, I myself can't see any bright one. I'm so impressed with many young MVP here, I meant at least when I was in their age, I have no idea what's 'microsoft' stand for. Getting old and tired chasing with technologies : ) don't you feel the same ? I was on a short break since last wednesday and came back on monday. till now I still have around 2k of newsgroup msgs to digest.... everyone move so fast and furious. MSDN chapter about longhorn is on chapter 3... but I haven't even download chapter 1. Been looking for a new job for quite sometime.. but yet.. Aiiiii.... luck or faith or knowledge ? I'm confused. hard to find a good one.. not to say picky. but at my age.. it's time to find a good one and excel. no more simply pick one.

Q: How long does it take for an article to "go live"
A: Generally speaking, once an article is submitted, it should be in the KB within one hour (but will most likely be live in about 5 minutes).
Q: Does that mean I can find it in "Search" in an hour from the time it's published?
A: No. Search will not pick it up until noon of the next business day.
