JOB TITLE: DSV Support Engineer
DEPARTMENT: GTEC Developer Division
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: GTEC DSV Team Manager

JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to GTEC DSV Team immediate manager, the Support Engineer is responsible for providing top-quality support with a high customer satisfaction, providing responsive and reliable technical solutions and information to Microsoft customers on Visual Studio language and tools.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide technical support to Asia Pacific region premier and professional customers by answering inquires, assisting customer incidents and going onsite to enterprise customer for problem resolution on a timely basis
• Provide pre-emptive support through KBIS, technical articles and sample programs.
• Uphold consistent processes and case handling standards according to standard
• Participate in projects that benefit the Product Support Services (PSS) Department.

NATURE AND SCOPE

The position holder is required to provide direct contact from Microsoft to the customers via the MS hotline, Email and Internet service, and to be extremely accurate in the information and solutions provided to the customer. The position holder must decide among other things how best to satisfy each customer’s needs in varying critical & non-critical situations, and maintain a high level of professionalism and quality when interacting with Microsoft customers.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience; Master Degree preferred
• Experience and skills of building Microsoft DNA2000 and .NET based solutions, including IIS/ASP, COM+, and SQL Server
• Strong development skills with 2 or more of the following: VB/VB.NET, VC, VJ, C#, ASP/ASP.NET, ADO/ADO.NET;
• coding experiences using C/C++; knowledge in SDK would be an advantage
• Knowledge in relational database;
• Good command of English in oral and written;
• Enterprise working or supporting experience, and troubleshooting skills preferred;
• Positive-thinking, team-working, quick-learning, self-challenging;
